Outstanding locals honoured in 2024 Community Service Awards
Mum for Mum was honoured with the 2024 Australia Day Community Service Group Award by Randwick City Council. This volunteer-led initiative comprises 220 trained volunteers who provide in-home emotional support to local mothers during the final trimester of pregnancy and the first year of their baby's life. By offering this vital assistance, Mum for Mum directly impacts and improves the lives of vulnerable and at-risk community members. The award ceremony took place on Sunday, 26 January 2025, alongside the Australian Citizenship ceremony. Mum for Mum received a framed certificate and a medallion in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Randwick City.
